Winner of the Junior Fell race, James Bowness from Egremont.

Seen here with Julian Carradice (left), Team Leader and Bill Pattison,

President of the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team.

The Team were well represented by (from left) Peter Ward, David Brown, Tim Brooks and Stephen Walter.

All of them finished the course in a very quick time.  They can do advance next time there is a callout.

Eric Robson kindly said a few words before the seniors race started.
Some of the best fell runners in Cumbria lined up to give it their best shot in aid of the team - thanks to the field of 40+
Tell that cameraman to get out of the way!
A great setting for a race with the Screes in the background. Only 6.5 miles to go with 1700' of ascent
First man home a number of minutes ahead of number two
First (30), Second and Third
Spare a thought for those wonderful ladies who worked behind the scenes.
The helpers....John cheated a bit with the bike though
And don't forget the female helpers and fellow team members (yes we do allow women into the team) - the one in the drivers seat isn't a lady though, it's Richard Longman, Team treasurer
And yes it's Joe Moody, marshall today but regular team member tomorrow.
And thanks to Rachel and Nick (couldn't get him to pose though) who let us use their Screes Pub as the base for the race and evening entertainment.
