Geoff Hayman, retired General Secretary and Peter Jones, Chairman of the Guardian Sports club travelled up to Gosforth to present the cheque to the Team

Geoff Hayman hands over the cheque to Mike Greene, Deputy Team Leader.
		The cheque which will help the team considerably.  The team is voluntary and all costs need to be met through fundraising by the team members themselves.  Hence our grateful thanks to the Guardian members for their fantastic support and to the rescued person who organised the collection.
